Join us for an afternoon of community, local agriculture, family fun, and giving back at the 2026 Summer's End at Ghlasbrae Festival! I’ll be set up there as a vendor, bringing my original artwork, hand crafted jewelry, bookmarks, and prints! This year's festival is a celebration of the harvest season and an opportunity to come together as a community to help address food insecurity in Somerset County.
Admission: $10 per vehicle

Floral Earring Workshop at Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art – Bedford
Join Casey Beal, a wildlife artist passionate about creating handmade jewelry and art. She’s a former biologist turned artist and the owner of Samaran Selkie, her small art business dedicated to exploring the lesser known tales of nature through creative expression. At this creative workshop, you'll craft your own pair of flower filled earrings. All the flowers for the workshop were grown in her very own garden! She will walk you through the steps on how she dried the flowers before the class, and then you will pick out which flowers you will use to create your own unique pair of earrings! We'll finish by learning how to assemble your chosen earring components, and then you'll be ready to wear your own preserved piece of sunshine! All supplies are provided. Must be 18 or older. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged by October 5th
Spooky Earring Workshop at Lily Books and Cafe
What to Expect: Join me for a creative workshop where you'll craft your own pair of spooky earrings. Any flowers used in the workshop were grown in my very own garden! I have a mix of native wildflowers and ornamental flowers like roses, and the types of flowers I use change depending on the season and what is fresh out of the flower press. I will walk you through the steps on how I dry flowers before the class, and then you will pick out pre-dried flowers to create your own unique pair of earrings! I’ll also have other spooky additions like dead bugs, tiny ghosts, and other macabre decorations perfect for Halloween! We'll finish by learning how to assemble your chosen earrings components, and then you'll be ready to wear your own spooky earrings, hand crafted by you!!

I have showcased my artwork at several local galleries including Laurel Arts, Bottle Works, and had my own solo art show at Composition Art and Wine. I’m excited to welcome you to this workshop and help you create your own printable design!”
What to Expect: Join me for a fun and creative workshop where you'll design and carve your very own linoleum block! I’ll provide the block, carving tools, and everything necessary to print your hand carved design. You can follow along with my guided demonstration or create your own unique artwork. When our session is complete, you will have your very own personalized block (or stamp) for printing that you can use again and again at home: all you will need is an ink pad or printmaking ink, and some paper or clothing that you'd like to adorn with your stamp!

Pendants will be ready for pick up the following week — A beautiful, personalized accessory made by you!

From Block to Print: The Linocut Process
Discover the art of linocut printmaking in this engaging class designed for adults of all experience levels. Through step-by-step instruction, participants will learn the full printmaking process—from developing a design and safely carving a linoleum block to inking and pulling their own prints. Students will build foundational skills in composition, mark-making, and carving techniques. Along the way, you’ll develop confidence in your creative decision-making and leave with a series of original prints that reflect your personal style. Whether you’re trying printmaking for the first time or expanding your practice, you’ll find both skill-building and community at the heart of this experience.

Art Walk in the Park at Stackhouse Park in Johnstown, PA
Art Walk in the Park is a one-day community event that takes place annually in Stackhouse Park. The event showcases the work of artists, artisans, crafters, and other talented vendors.
Vendors are spread out along shaded trails within Stackhouse Park all the way up to the entrance along Luzerne St.
The event features children’s activities, a dog contest, live music, and more!
I’ll be there with my original artwork, art prints, hand-painted jewelry, and homegrown pressed flower earrings!
Laurel Hill Bluegrass Festival
The Laurel Highlands of southwestern Pennsylvania is an outdoor playground with stunning natural beauty. This annual festival showcases musicianship, craftsmanship, stewardship, and friendship. The festival is nestled amongst the 4,000 acre Laurel Hill State Park in beautiful Somerset County. This location creates an ideal connection for visitors to enjoy their surroundings in a family friendly environment. Seven bands, artisans, food vendors, period reenactors, children’s activities, and wagon rides await. The festival is free of admission and sponsored by the Friends of Laurel Hill and many other local businesses.
Hike N Paint Event
Join Angie with Angie in the Mountains and Casey Beal, a local artist, for a laid-back, creative experience along the C&O Canal.
We’ll start with a guided hike at about 30 minutes out and 30 minutes back. We will be moving at a relaxed pace to take in the scenery, slow down, and gather inspiration from nature.
After the hike, we’ll settle in for a hands-on paint experience led by local artist Casey, where you’ll create your own piece to take home.
No experience needed. Just come ready to get outside, get inspired, and try something new.

Chalk the Block is a street painting festival, featuring professional chalk artists, emerging artists, and youth competitions, along with live music, art demonstrations, and other family-friendly activities. Bookmark Painting Workshop at Lily Books & Cafe
What to Expect: Join me for a creative workshop where you'll craft your own hand-painted bookmark. I will walk you through the steps on how to paint the background, draw or paint something fun as the subject, and then laminate your bookmark so it is protected and able to be used for years to come!

Butterfly Walk and Watercolor at Laurel Hill State Park
Join me for a delightfully creative mixed media art lesson capturing the fun of a butterfly walk at Laurel Hill State Park! We'll begin with a leisurely walk guided by a park ranger to find butterflies in their natural habitat. Following our walk, we'll begin by painting an abstract and expressive watercolor background for our piece. This is your chance to paint whatever you like and run wild with color, shape, and texture! Once our backdrop is complete and dry, you can follow along with my guided demonstration to how to draw a butterfly that we see on our walk. Together, we'll sketch the butterfly, and then draw it in ink over your beautifully painted background. At the end of the lesson, you will have your very own mixed media art piece that represents your unique take on a memorable summer day spotting butterflies in a scenic state park!

Famous bull elephant Jackson celebrates his 50th birthday, so it’s time for a GIANT party!

Appalachian Nature Art & Photography Competition Exhibition

The Appalachian Nature Art & Photography Competition Exhibition is organized by the Arcadian Gallery in Cumberland, Maryland, to celebrate the beauty of nature across the Appalachian region. This Exhibition is a great reflection of the richness of our regional arts community and the beauty of our part of Appalachia. This exhibit displays 75 juried works chosen from over 360 submissions by artists and photographers across Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Virginia.
Insect Art Exhibition at the Gilchrist Gallery and Museum of the Arts
Visit the Gilchrist Gallery and Museum of the Arts in Cumberland, Maryland for a one-of-a-kind joint exhibition inspired entirely by insects. Sculpture artist James Barefoot and painter Casey Beal fill the museum’s halls with vibrant artwork inspired by nature’s smallest creatures.
Join us on Saturday, May 16th from 5-8pm for the opening reception of this special exhibit. Beverages and snacks will be provided (some inspired by insects too) and artist talks will begin around 7pm.

I will be demonstrating my Lily of the Valley design, or feel free to design your own pendant masterpiece!
After the workshop is finished, I will varnish the pendants and deliver them back to Jar for you to pick-up the following week. The final pendants will come with braided necklace cord or chain of your choosing. I’m excited to see you there!
