Get ready for a creepy jewelry making experience, perfect for Halloween!
Meet Your Instructor: "I’m Casey, a wildlife artist passionate about creating handmade jewelry and art. I’m a former biologist turned artist and the owner of Samaran Selkie, my small art business dedicated to exploring the lesser known tales of nature through creative expression. My work is inspired by my deep love for the natural world, and I enjoy sharing that passion through painting, printmaking, clay creations, and jewelry making. I’m excited to welcome you to this workshop and help you create your own floral jewelry!”
What to Expect: Join me for a creative workshop where you'll craft your own pair of spooky earrings. Any flowers used in the workshop were grown in my very own garden! I have a mix of native wildflowers and ornamental flowers like roses, and the types of flowers I use change depending on the season and what is fresh out of the flower press. I will walk you through the steps on how I dry flowers before the class, and then you will pick out pre-dried flowers to create your own unique pair of earrings! I’ll also have other spooky additions like dead bugs, tiny ghosts, and other macabre decorations perfect for Halloween! We'll finish by learning how to assemble your chosen earrings components, and then you'll be ready to wear your own spooky earrings, hand crafted by you!!
